About Us

Our Mission
Guiding Hearts Toward Truth, Freedom, and Purpose in Christ!

Living the Example of Christ — His Hands and Feet on Earth

Our mission is to bring together the body of Christ from all walks of life through the power of the Gospel, following the example set by Jesus.
After His resurrection, He commissioned us to spread the message of His love and establish His Kingdom on earth.

Just as He spoke to His disciples in Galilee, we embrace the call to walk in unwavering love, devotion, and sacrifice for the sake of the mission. Guided by

John 17:23,

“I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one,”

We strive to reflect God’s presence in every act of service and every expression of compassion.

Our Vision:
Seeing God’s People Restored to Their True Identity!

Our vision is to see lives transformed by the truth of Jesus Christ — for every person to walk confidently in their true identity as a child of God, reconciled to the Father, and living in the fullness of His promises.
We envision a united body of believers reflecting the love and unity Jesus prayed for in
John 17:21

“That they all may be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us.”

We envision a community where hearts are reconciled, families are strengthened, and lives are transformed by the truth of His promises.

Our Story

In 2022, Pastors Richard and Marleny Hyatt followed God’s leading to establish House of Promise Church in Salem, Massachusetts — a ministry born from a deep desire to see people awaken to their restored identity in Christ.

Their journey began with a shared vision: to build a community where the presence of God is real, His promises are revealed, and His people are restored. What started as a small step of faith has grown into a vibrant family of believers devoted to living out the love and power of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of their calling is the truth found in John 17, where Jesus prayed for unity between the Father and His children — a vision of reconciliation that continues to shape everything they do.

Pastor Richard Hyatt

Before stepping into pastoral leadership, Richard’s journey was marked by seasons that shaped, challenged, and humbled him. His life story was not built through titles or positions but forged through real experiences — moments of growth, refining, and surrender that God used to mold his character.

Through both triumphs and trials, blessings and hardships, Richard learned to rely fully on God’s grace. Each chapter became a tool in God’s hands, crafting within him a deep compassion for people and a steady heart for ministry. Instead of allowing his past to define him negatively, he recognizes it as the very foundation God used to prepare him for his calling.

Today, Pastor Richard leads with humility, gratitude, and a desire to point others toward the same restoration and identity he found in Christ. His life reflects a continuous testimony of God’s transforming power.

“My mission is to help people encounter the truth of Jesus — not just to know about Him, but to truly know Him. Once you know who you are in Christ, everything changes.”

Their Shared Mission

Together, Pastors Richard and Marleny Hyatt lead House of Promise Church with a united purpose — to bring people into an authentic relationship with Jesus and to help them live empowered by His promises.

Their ministry stands on these pillars:

  • Reconciliation — Restoring hearts to the Father through the Gospel.

  • Identity — Helping people rediscover who they are in Christ.

  • Unity — Building up the body of Christ from every walk of life.

  • Compassion — Serving their community with love, healing, and hope.

As spiritual shepherds, they are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus — demonstrating His love through teaching, outreach, mentorship, and supernatural ministry.

Their vision is clear: to see a generation awakened to the reality of God’s promises, walking in freedom, purpose, and power.

A Personal Invitation

“Our prayer is that House of Promise Church will be a home where people encounter Jesus, grow in truth, and live out their God-given purpose.
No matter where you are in your journey, there’s a place for you here — a place to belong, believe, and become all that God created you to be.”

Our Beliefs

The Father

God is great: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move, and exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

(Exodus 3:14; Numbers 23:19; Leviticus 11:44-45; 19:2; Psalm 11:4-6; Malachi 3:6; John 3:16; 4:24; 5:26; 14:1; Acts 17:28; Romans 3:3-4)

The Son (Jesus Christ)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again. Through Him, we find redemption and eternal life.

Scripture: John 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who empowers believers, convicts us of sin, and guides us in all truth and in transformation. His presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. Evidence of the Holy Spirit is seen in the fruits of the Holy Spirit, speaking in unknown tongues, gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc.

Genesis 1:2; Psalms 51:11; 139:7 ff.; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-32; Mark 1:10; Luke 1:35; 4:1; 11:13; 12:12; John 15:26; 16:7-14; Acts 1:5, 8; 2:1-4; 13:2; Romans 8:9-11, 14-16, 26-27; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 12:1-11; Ephesians 1:13-14; 2 Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:17)

Scripture: Acts 1:8; John 16:8-13.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is distinct, yet one in essence and nature.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and infallible, guiding us in faith and practice.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105.

Sin

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, requiring redemption through Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, given to us by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from our works.

Scripture: Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6.

Baptism

We believe that baptism is an outward symbol of an inward commitment to follow Jesus Christ. It signifies our identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.

Scripture: Romans 6:3-4; Matthew 28:19.

Gifts of the Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts upon believers for the edification of the Church. These gifts are available to us today, and we should eagerly desire them to glorify the Lord.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Corinthians 14:1.

Sanctity of Marriage

We believe that the foundational and sacredness of marriage is between one man and one woman, established at creation for partnership, procreation, and to reflect God's covenant love.

Scripture: Genesis 2:22-24; Ephesians 5:21-33

Five-Fold Ministry

The five-fold ministry positions of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are gifts given to each local church and the universal church. These gifts are intended to equip believers to spread the gospel of Christ. We believe both men and women are sovereignly chosen by God for these ministry positions.
